My name is Cerra Carrillo, and I’m the artist behind Cosmic Cat.

I started Cosmic Cat in 2019 from my tiny bedroom apartment while living in a small town. At the time, I was frustrated with always having to buy jewelry online and craving pieces that felt more personal, expressive, and inspired. I’ve always been an artist, with a deep love for fashion and jewelry, and I wanted to create pieces that allowed people to express who they are—creatively, boldly, and unapologetically.

The name Cosmic Cat came naturally, inspired by my cat Leia, who quickly became the brand’s mascot and muse. I began by wire-wrapping crystal pendants and hand-making every earring entirely out of wire. I had no idea what I was doing—but I knew I had to do it.

Since opening Cosmic Cat, I’ve released a new collection every month to every two months, each with its own theme, identity, and energy—an era, if you will. My work is constantly evolving, just like I am. Every piece is intentionally made in small batches, sometimes only one of a kind, making each creation as unique as the person who wears it.
